Single: Wish you Well by Black Water Fiend

Assume the ‘rock’ guitar stance. Black Water Fiend is a heavy rock band based in Coventry, formed in 2018. Wish You Well is (very) heavy on the drums, (another one to add to the running playlist, more time off the PB now… maybe). Following the recent trend here on the Inner Sleeve, Wish You Well is in part about a toxic relationship or in this instance the celebration of a new life since the split. At least a positive note?  To paraphrase ‘It’s about expecting to be left feeling empty but actually enjoying the time they have again to find out what they enjoy and not actually caring about the consequences it has on other people, making themselves their only responsibility.’ Danny Starkey, vocals and guitar says, “The last line of the chorus ‘I want you to know, I don’t wish you well’ shows just how much they don’t care about the other person anymore.” Succinct and to the point.
