Single: Autumn (While you were sleeping) by The Quicksilver Kings

Something new to the Inner Sleeve, and a genre warping indie meets blues meets folk meets country meets sixties inspired alternative pop (keep up) band is Hull’s acoustic three-piece The Quicksilver Kings and their latest release is the glorious Autumn (while you were sleeping). It’s mighty fine, but where do we start? Well, I guess we need to start with the all-important, is it any good, well as Tony the Tiger once said… it’s great. Very reminiscent (to me at least) of alternative indie of very early 90s – there I go again heading down memory lane… Anyway, back to the point, The Quicksilver Kings are fronted by poet Keith Hagger, who’s vocal style I love, the whole track seems to be effortless and honest.
